Accessing Your ML/TF Risk Assessment

Before your AML/CTF Program can be created, you need to complete your ML/TF Risk Assessment.

Before your AML/CTF Program can be created, you need to complete your ML/TF Risk Assessment - a 25-30 minute questionnaire that captures your organisation's money laundering and terrorism financing risk profile. Your program is generated from it.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Welcome to easy AML. In this guide we'll walk you through how to access and complete your ML/TF Risk Assessment - which is the foundation of your AML/CTF program - To get started, head to compliance menu on the left hand side and select **AML Program.**
  2. If you haven't completed your assessment yet, you'll see a notice letting you know no program has been approved. From here, go ahead and select **Take your ML/TF Risk Assessment** to kick things off.
  3. The assessment is a questionnaire that takes around 25 to 30 minutes to complete. It works through nine sections - Business Structure, Business Profile, Customer Profile, Customer Risk, Service Risk, Delivery Risk, Jurisdiction Risk, Operational Risk, and Environment Risk. Work through each section based on how your business currently operates. \ \ One thing worth noting - when you get to Business Structure and you're selecting your approving users, only people with the role of Compliance Officer, Compliance Officer 2IC, or Senior Management can be selected here, and this can't be changed once you've submitted, so take a moment to make sure you've got the right people selected before moving on.
  4. Once you've submitted, your AML/CTF Program will be generated automatically and will be available under AML Program in the left navigation. If you already have an existing program and just want to review it, you can select **View All AML/CTF Programs** to see your current and historical programs at any time.
  5. After submitting the risk assessment you'll land on the AML/CTF Compliance Risk Assessment page. This gives you a full view - showing the current approval status, and program start date. Your active assessment will be clearly marked as **IS ACTIVE**, and any assessments you've started but not yet finished will show as **In Progress** - you can come back and complete those whenever you're ready. That's everything you need to know about accessing and completing your ML/TF Risk Assessment in easyAML. If you have any questions along the way, reach out to our support team and we'll be happy to help.
