Can one person hold multiple roles (e.g. Board Member + CO)?

Not currently, because the primary role drives training-module allocation, audit logging and access permissions.

The platform supports one primary AML role per user because the primary role drives training-module allocation, audit logging and access permissions. A single user can't be both Board Member (oversight) and CO (operational accountability) simultaneously in the system.

Workaround: assign the more senior role (typically CO) and document the dual capacity outside the platform in the firm's governance records. AUSTRAC doesn't require the platform to track dual capacities - what matters is that the CO accountability is clearly attributed and the governance oversight is documented somewhere auditable.

Multiple job titles can be selected per user (Account Settings → Users → edit pencil) even though only one primary AML role applies for training purposes. This lets the platform reflect, for example, "John Smith - Director, Compliance Officer, Senior Solicitor" in the user record while keeping training and access tied to the CO role.

A visual field to display multiple roles is on the roadmap for a future release. Until then, the workaround above keeps the firm compliant without operational difficulty.
