# Each unwrapped legal entity inside a corporate ownership structure is billed as a separate KYB - correct?

## Yes, each entity layer is a separate KYB.

For example, a company owned by three holding companies generates four KYBs (operating entity + three holdings).

For deep structures (trusts inside companies inside trusts), unwrap pauses at each trust layer for documentation - automation is impossible because the underlying data isn't externally registered.
