# An error message appeared during my verification

## What to do if an error occurs while you are verifying your identity.

If an error message appears during your verification, try the following first:

- Close the browser window and reopen the verification link from your SMS or email - [your progress is saved](https://knowledge.easyaml.com/what-if-i-stop-during-verification?hsLang=en-au)
- Work through the [general troubleshooting steps](https://knowledge.easyaml.com/verification-troubleshooting-steps?hsLang=en-au)

If the error keeps appearing, contact the business that asked you to verify your identity and let them know what happened, or contact easyAML support - email support@easyaml.com or call 1300 425 495. Please have ready: the name of the business that requested your verification, your name, and your phone number.
