How do I add a KYB for a company or trust?

Add the legal entity under Entities, and easyAML identifies the individuals who ultimately own or control it.

Any time a legal entity is involved in a matter - a company buying property, a trust as the purchasing vehicle, a corporate trustee, a partnership - it needs to be added as an entity before it can be tagged to a transaction:

  • Open Entities in the left sidebar (open directly) and add the legal entity - Australian companies and businesses are looked up by ABN or ACN.
  • For trusts (discretionary/family, unit or SMSF), easyAML's AI reader extracts the details from the uploaded trust deed.
  • easyAML then identifies the individuals who ultimately own or control the entity (UBOs) - each of these gets a KYC.
  • Link the entity to the transaction and track the outstanding checks from the transaction record.
