# How long does an account invitation link stay valid?

## Invitations stay valid for 4 weeks - after that use Forgot Password or re-invite.

**Invitations stay valid for 4 weeks**. This is to give users time to set up their account at their own pace without losing the original invitation - particularly useful for staff being onboarded in a busy period or in advance of their formal start date.

If the invitation expires before the user has activated their account, two paths:

1. **User triggers Forgot Password** - enter the invited email at app.easyaml.com and request a password reset. The platform recognises the email as a valid invitee and sends a fresh activation link.
2. **CO issues a new invitation** - Account Settings → Users ([open directly](https://app.easyaml.com/settings/users)) → re-invite. The original invitation is invalidated and a fresh 4-week link is issued.

Either path works equally well. The Forgot Password route is self-service for the user; the CO-initiated re-invitation is faster if the user is in front of the CO and ready to set up immediately.
