How long does a KYC/VOI link stay valid, and what happens if the client deletes or misses it?
The link stays valid for 28 days with 3 automated reminder send every 2 days.
Link validity. A KYC/VOI link sent to a client stays valid for 28 days.
Automated reminder. If the client hasn't completed the link within three days, easyAML sends them one automated reminder text.
If the client deletes the original SMS or the reminder. The KYC request can be resent manually.
What happens if the original link expires. A new KYC request can be sent from the client record using the Resend or Update VOI buttons in the Identity tab.
Sending to both phone and email. The platform supports sending the KYC link to the client by SMS and email at the same time - recommended where deliverability is uncertain (e.g. overseas clients, China where SMS hyperlinks are blocked).
Client education. easyAML provides a customer brochure explaining the KYC process to reduce the chance of the link being deleted as spam.
My client finished but keeps getting reminders
Reminders stop automatically when every step completes - if they're continuing, part of the request is still outstanding, usually the questionnaire or a supplementary document rather than the ID check. Check each task on the record; anything incomplete finishes via the original link. If everything shows complete and reminders continue, send us the record URL. (Reminders cap at 3 total, then stop regardless.)
