# How is a Lead Entity + multiple company-entity structure (e.g. 5 child entities) configured?

## Configured as a Reporting Group with the lead entity at the top and the trading entities underneath.

Configured as a **Reporting Group** with the Lead Entity at the top and the trading conveyancing entities as member entities underneath. Standard configuration:

- **Single consolidated AML Program** covering all entities in the group.
- **Separate Risk Assessments per entity** - each member entity completes its own RA reflecting its specific customer base, geographic exposure and service mix. The RAs feed into the single Program.
- **Same CO across all entities** - one Compliance Officer carries the regulatory accountability for the entire group, with the appropriate authority and resources.
- **CO 2IC backups** can cover all entities during the CO's absence - useful for genuine business continuity across the group.

**Backend configuration by easyAML's platform team typically takes 1–2 days** once the entity details are provided. The customer success team coordinates the setup; the customer provides the entity list (legal names, ABNs, sectors, designated services) and the platform team configures the parent-child structure, user access, and the consolidated Program scaffold.

What this structure delivers operationally:

- **One subscription** covering the group (subject to entity-count pricing).
- **One credit pool** for KYC/KYB transactions, used flexibly across the entities.
- **Cross-entity visibility** for the CO and other authorised users via the entity switcher.
- **Independent operational records** per entity (customers, transactions, training) for entity-level audit.

You must ensure that you have enrolled with AUSTRAC as a Reporting Group, you must register the Lead Entity first AUSTRAC.
