What does the KYC unit price include?

Identity capture, document validity check, biometric and liveness, Sanctions/PEP/Adverse-media screening, customer questionnaire, all bundled in one per-check fee.

Everything required for AUSTRAC's reliable-and-independent-source standard, bundled into a single $15 (Professional / Enterprise) or $20 (Starter) per-check fee. No hidden surcharges for biometrics, screening or document validity.

What's covered in every KYC:

  • Identity capture. Driver's licence, passport or other supported document captured via the customer's phone (remote) or your office tablet (in-person). Document is parsed automatically and the data extracted.
  • Document validity check. Real-time verification against the issuing authority via the Document Verification Service (DVS) for Australian documents, MRZ check for passports, and visa lookup via VEVO (Visa Entitlement Verification Online) for foreign nationals.
  • Biometric facial comparison. The customer's live selfie is matched against the photo on the identity document.
  • Liveness detection. Confirms the selfie is a real person in real time, not a printed photo or a video replay.
  • PEP screening. Politically Exposed Persons - domestic and foreign - screened via Dow Jones.
  • Sanctions screening. DFAT and other sanctions lists.
  • Adverse-media screening. News and watchlist coverage for negative-press signals.
  • Online Fraud Indicators. VPN / iCloud Private Relay detection, device-fingerprint risk indicators.
  • Customer questionnaire. Configurable AML / source-of-funds questions presented as part of the flow.

Speed. The platform-side processing is around 8 seconds end-to-end. The customer-side time - capturing documents and completing the selfie / liveness - is typically 1–2 minutes.

Outputs. A signed-off verification record, the captured documents, screening results, and a clear pass / fail / review status. If anything triggers a review (PEP match, sanctions hit, low-confidence match), the Compliance Officer is alerted to escalate to Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD) - source-of-wealth, source-of-funds and additional evidence.

Records retention is automatic for 7 years on AWS Australia - AUSTRAC's required retention period.
