Where do police checks fit into Personnel Due Diligence?
Police checks can now be run directly from the PDD workflow, or uploaded if you already hold one.
Personnel Due Diligence in easyAML captures the staff member's identity, screening and role information. The police check is now part of that workflow: you can trigger it from the staff member's PDD record rather than sourcing it separately.
If you already hold a current certificate, or you prefer your own provider, you can still upload it (for example an Australian Federal Police or state-accredited national police check, or a provider such as CrimCheck). It's kept with the staff member's PDD record as supporting evidence.
Who needs one. Under AUSTRAC's integrity rules (Rules 5-14), a police check is generally expected for the Compliance Officer and senior CDD roles. It isn't mandated for other personnel, though you can run one where your firm's risk profile calls for it.
