Microsoft Teams Channels Setup Guide
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up notification channels in Microsoft Teams using easyAML.
Step-by-step instructions for setting up easyAML notification channels in Microsoft Teams. Administrator setup is required once per organisation - you will need the Teams bot manifest ZIP from easyAML support (support@easyaml.com / 1300 425 495) and Administrator-level access to Microsoft Teams. Once the bot is approved, individual users connect Teams from their easyAML notification settings.

- Administrator setup This step only needs to be completed once per organisation You will need: - This instruction guide - ZIP file provided by easyAML support with the Teams bot manifest - “Administrator” level access or similar to Microsoft Teams enterprise
- Head to the Teams admin centre
- Select “Actions” (Top Right) > “Upload new App”
- Follow the prompts to upload the ZIP file
- Give admin consent for all users in the org
- Enable Teams notifications. This step is required for each user.
- Head to or select Personal Settings > Notifications > Channels
- Select “Connect Teams”
- If required you may need to grant permission to use the Teams channel by following the prompts. Contact your Teams Administrator if you have issues granting permission.
- Follow the prompts to login to your work microsoft account & grant consent. If that is successful it should return you back to the page with “Bot Install Pending”
- Open the Microsoft Teams app for your Work account.
- Navigate to “Apps” > Built for your Organization > easyAML
- Open the App, click “Add” if not already installed, then click “Open”
- Write a message to the bot (Eg “Hello”)
- Once successful - It will reply saying notifications are successfully setup.
- Return to the easyAML portal, refresh and confirm it says “Connected”
- Check the toggle switch is in the “On” position
- Press “Send Test Notification” to validate delivery
- Return to the preferences tab to confirm preferences - Enjoy!
