What AI does easyAML use, and is data processed in Australia?

AI capability is provided inside customer devices or AWS with all processing in Australia - specifically AWS Sydney. The AI use cases include: automatic trust and partnership document reader facial comparison for biometric matching, document quality assessment (is the captured image clear enough to validate?), and supportive features like draft SMR text suggestions.
Three principles govern AI usage:
- AI is optional - a complete path through the platform can be taken without interacting with AI features. The CDD workflow doesn't require AI to function.
- easyAML data is never used to train AI models - customer data isn't fed back to underlying models for fine-tuning or training. The models are used as-is for inference only.
- Australian processing - no AI processing occurs outside Australian jurisdiction.
For customers with strict AI-usage policies (notably enterprise customers with formal AI governance frameworks), the optional nature of AI features is the key point: the platform can be configured to minimise AI involvement if required.
