What information is needed to set up additional entities under one parent account?

For each additional entity: legal entity details, ABN, trading name, AUSTRAC account number, sector and designated services.

For each additional entity being added to a Reporting Group or multi-entity subscription:

  • Field: Entity Name; Purpose: Legal entity name as registered
  • Field: ABN; Purpose: For ASIC verification and reporting purposes
  • Field: Trading Name; Purpose: Where different from legal name
  • Field: AUSTRAC account number; Purpose: If the entity has completed AUSTRAC enrolment
  • Field: AAN-ABN match; Purpose: Whether the entity's AUSTRAC Activity Number matches its ABN (some entities enrol under parent companies, in which case the AAN matches a different ABN)
  • Field: Business structure; Purpose: Sole trader, Pty Ltd, partnership, trust, etc.

The configuration is handled by easyAML's customer success team once the information is provided - typically 24–48 hours from receipt to the new entity being visible in the customer's portal. For Reporting Groups with multiple subsidiary entities being added at the same time, the customer can provide the information as a single CSV or spreadsheet for batch processing.

For the Reporting Group structure itself (Lead Entity, Subsidiary, etc.), see Section 6.
