Why doesn't the "Accept AML Program" button activate/work?
Click Review Program first (above the Accept button) to open and download the Program for review; the Accept button activates only after Review, enforcing a CO review gate.
Before clicking "Accept AML Program", first select (and download) the "Review Program" option just above the Accept button. Once the Review Program is actioned, Accept becomes available.
This is a deliberate workflow gate: the CO is required to review the Program before approving it. The button sequence enforces this:
- Review Program button - opens the Program for review and downloads a PDF copy.
- Accept AML Program button - becomes active only after Review has been clicked.
Why the gate matters: AUSTRAC's framework expects the firm's Compliance Officer to have genuinely reviewed and approved the AML Program. A button that approves without prior review wouldn't evidence that review occurred. By making Review a precondition for Accept, the platform creates a small but meaningful audit point that the CO has at least opened the document.
If Review has been clicked and Accept still isn't activating, refresh the page and try again - occasionally a stale browser state holds the button in the wrong state. If the issue persists, contact support.
