Can a duplicate account, individual, entity, or test transaction be deleted within easyAML?
Not currently; a self-service deletion workflow is on the roadmap.
Not from inside the platform yet - deletion of duplicate or test records isn't something you can action yourself today. It's on the roadmap and will be released once the appropriate audit-logging is in place around it (more on that below).
In the meantime: easyAML support can clean up some duplicates for you
If you've accidentally created a duplicate account the support team will handle the cleanup manually. Email support@easyaml.com with:
- The account or record references involved (a screenshot or record ID is fine)
- A brief description of which record(s) should be removed and which should be kept
Typical turnaround is 2 business days for straightforward cleanups. More complex cases — for example where transactions or screening events are linked across the records — may take a little longer, and the support team will confirm the approach with you before making any changes.
Why deletion isn't self-serve yet
AML/CTF records carry specific retention obligations under AUSTRAC's framework, and the platform deliberately errs on the side of preservation. Allowing users to delete records directly creates a real risk that something needed for an audit trail later gets removed by mistake. Until the platform can guarantee that every deletion is logged and attributed properly, it's safer to route deletions through support — a small extra step for the sake of getting record integrity right.
The roadmap item adds a controlled deletion flow with full audit logging — who deleted what, when, and why — scoped to records that genuinely shouldn't be retained (test transactions, true duplicates). Production CDD records stay protected as they are now.
