When does Tranche 2 commence?

Three dates matter for newly regulated ("Tranche 2") businesses:

• 31 March 2026 - AUSTRAC enrolment window opens.
  You can enrol any time from this date at AUSTRAC Online.
• 1 July 2026 - Your AML/CTF obligations begin.
  From this date you must have your Risk Assessment, AML/CTF Program, enrolment, and mandatory staff training in place before you provide any designated service.
• 29 July 2026 - Final deadline to notify AUSTRAC of your AML/CTF Compliance Officer. (You still must have still met your AML obligations from 1 July)
