Where is easyAML data hosted?
AWS Australia (Sydney); all customer data including ID documents, biometric templates, screening results and audit logs is stored within AWS Sydney with no cross-border replication.
AWS Australia (Sydney). All customer data - including ID documents, biometric templates, PEP/sanctions screening results, transaction audit logs and account configuration - is stored within AWS's Sydney availability zones with no cross-border replication.
This positioning matters for:
- Data sovereignty - Australian customers' data stays within Australian jurisdiction, simplifying privacy compliance.
- AUSTRAC inspection - AUSTRAC auditors operating in Australia can access records without cross-border data transfer issues.
- Customer expectations - many professional services firms have strict client-confidentiality positions that benefit from Australian-only hosting.
AWS Sydney is also where parent company Scantek's data is hosted - the two products share underlying infrastructure principles though they're logically separate. Data hosting is addressed in clause 18 of the easyAML Terms & Conditions.
