Will subscribers be able to disburse KYC/KYB costs to end clients?
Yes, easyAML produces per-transaction receipts for every KYC and KYB so costs can be passed through as itemised disbursements.
Overview
Yes - this is the typical pattern for legal and conveyancing firms. easyAML produces a per-transaction receipt for every KYC and KYB, each an individual line item showing the customer reference, matter reference (where supplied), transaction date and dollar amount. The cost can be passed to the client's matter file as a disbursement - at cost, with a small administration uplift, or rolled into a flat compliance fee.
Three ways firms handle it
- PMS/CRM integration - KYC/KYB costs push back into your integrated practice-management system as billable activity rows under the matter, one row per check with the amount and reference, flowing into the next client invoice automatically.
- Flat "AML admin fee" - a single line item (e.g. "AML compliance fee: $75") built into the fee schedule covering the expected cost for a typical matter. Simpler for the client and easier on the back office.
- Manual passthrough - pull the per-transaction receipt and attach it to the client invoice as an itemised disbursement. The slowest path, but works for firms without an integrated PMS.
How firm billing works
Regardless of the downstream model, the firm pays one monthly aggregate invoice from easyAML covering all KYC/KYB activity. As an alternative for high-volume real estate sales work, end-customer-paid VOIs let the customer pay at the time of completion.
