Can ACNC/ORIC database checks be done for charity / Indigenous corporation clients?
Capability is in active development; until ACNC and ORIC integrations ship, create the KYB manually with entity name, registration number and a current extract pulled from the relevant register.
Capability is in active development. The ACNC (Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission) and ORIC (Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations) maintain their own registers separate from ASIC - charities aren't always in ASIC, and Indigenous corporations registered under the CATSI Act are exclusively on the ORIC register.
Until the integration ships, the workflow is: create the KYB transaction, manually enter the entity name and registration number, attach a current extract pulled directly from the ACNC charity register (acnc.gov.au) or ORIC register (oric.gov.au) as a supplementary document, and run KYCs on the responsible persons / directors as normal. The audit trail is identical to an ASIC-driven KYB; only the entity-data source is manual.
Integration of in-platform ACNC/ORIC checks will be ready in the 2nd half of 2026.
