How do customers register with AUSTRAC?

Through AUSTRAC Online: create an account with a business email, set up MFA, complete the enrolment form including designated services.

AUSTRAC enrolment is separate from your easyAML subscription - you enrol once, directly with AUSTRAC.

Steps:

  1. Go to AUSTRAC Online and click "Sign up to enrol a new business."
  2. Create an account using a business email and set up multi-factor authentication.
  3. Log in and select "Enrol New Business."
  4. Complete the form - business activities, ABN, responsible people, designated services you provide. The form has branching logic; answer accurately based on what your firm actually does.
  5. You can save and return to the form for up to 14 days before submitting.
  6. Submit. You'll receive an AUSTRAC Enrolment ID - add it in easyAML under Account Settings → Business & Regulatory Information.

The enrolment window opened on 31 March 2026. The deadline to notify AUSTRAC of your AML/CTF Compliance Officer is 29 July 2026. See AUSTRAC's enrolment guidance.
