How do I Complete my AML/CTF Training?


easyAML's training system ensures all staff members meet their legal obligations under AML/CTF regulations. Complete your assigned training modules to stay compliant and protect your business.

Training is a key requirement under AML/CTF laws - everyone from receptionists to senior partners needs appropriate training based on their role. easyAML makes this simple by providing role-specific video-based training modules that you can complete at your own pace.

mportant: Completing your required training is essential for both personal compliance and your organization's regulatory obligations. Some training modules must be completed before you can access certain features or perform specific tasks.

Step 1: Access Your Training

Navigate to Training:

  1. Click "Training" from the left sidebar (look for the trophy icon 🏆 if the menu is collapsed)
  2. The Training menu will expand to show two options:
    • Training Dashboard - Overview of all training
    • Your Training - Your personal training assignments
  3. Click "Your Training" to see modules assigned to you

     

  4. Click "Start Course >" button in pink to open the relevant training module. A popup window will appear with full module details
  5. Once loaded click "Start Course" to begin the training module
Review the material and answer the quizzes through out and then complete the final test to complete the module

During the training:

  • Video content will play automatically
  • Some modules include interactive elements or knowledge checks
  • You may need headphones for audio content
  • Progress is automatically saved as you go

Training tips:

  • Find a quiet space without distractions
  • Use headphones as recommended for video modules
  • Take notes if helpful - some content includes important procedures
  • Your progress is saved automatically
  • You can exit and return to continue where you left off

Step 2: View Your Training Dashboard

When you first access Your Training, you'll see the Upcoming tab showing all modules you need to complete.

Training is organized into categories:

Required Training

These are mandatory modules that everyone must complete. You'll see them clearly labeled under the "Required"section.

Common required modules include:

    • AML Awareness
      • Introduction to AML in Australia & Tranche 2
      • Whistleblower Rights and Protections (Coming Soon badges indicate future releases)
      • Introduction to Financial Crime
    • AML Foundation (if applicable to your role)
      • Customer identification, monitoring and reporting
      • Legal Entities & Relevance to Tranche 2
      • And other foundational modules

Completed Tab

Shows all training you've finished, with a count (e.g., "Completed 0" when starting)

What you'll see:

  • Completion date for each module
  • Certificate download options
  • Training history for your records

Certificates Tab

Access and download your training certificates, with a count (e.g., "Certificates 0" when starting)

Certificates are important for:

  • Proving compliance to auditors
  • Your personal professional development records
  • Organizational reporting requirements
  • Sharing your certificates on linked in so others can see your qualifications

Training Due Dates and Compliance

Understanding due dates:

  • Each module shows a clear due date (e.g., "Due 27/01/2026")
  • Required training must be completed by the due date
  • Overdue training may limit your access to certain features
  • Your Compliance Officer receives notifications about overdue training

What happens if you miss a due date:

  • You can still complete the training
  • Your completion is recorded for compliance purposes
  • Your organization may have internal policies about overdue training
  • Contact your Compliance Officer if you need an extension

Best practices:

  • Complete required training as soon as it's assigned
  • Don't wait until the due date approaches
  • Allocate appropriate time (most modules take 15-30 minutes)
  • Reach out if you have questions about the content

Troubleshooting

"I can't see the Training menu item"

  • Verify you've been invited to the easyAML platform
  • Check you've activated your account via the email invitation
  • Contact your Compliance Officer if you don't have access
  • You may need to be assigned to training first

"I can't start a training module"

  • Check the module doesn't have a "COMING SOON" label
  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection
  • Try a different browser if the start button doesn't respond
  • Clear your browser cache and try again
  • Contact easyAML support if issues persist

"My video content won't play"

  • Check your internet connection
  • Ensure browser allows video playback
  • Try disabling browser extensions temporarily
  • Update your browser to the latest version
  • Check your device's audio settings
  • Try headphones if using device speakers

"I completed training but it still shows as upcoming"

  • Ensure you watched the video to completion
  • Some modules require a passing quiz score
  • Check you clicked any "Complete" or "Finish" buttons
  • Refresh your browser page
  • Contact easyAML support if it doesn't update within 24 hours

"I need more time to complete my training"

  • Contact your Compliance Officer to discuss an extension
  • Explain any circumstances affecting your completion
  • They can adjust due dates if appropriate
  • Don't let modules become significantly overdue

"I don't understand the training content"

  • Replay the video module - content can be reviewed multiple times
  • Take notes and review at your own pace
  • Discuss with your Compliance Officer for clarification
  • They can provide additional context for your specific role
  • Ask about supplementary resources or materials

"Where are my training certificates?"

  • Click the Certificates tab in the Training section
  • Certificates are automatically generated upon completion
  • You can download them as PDF files
  • Keep copies for your personal records
  • Your organization may also store them centrally

  • You'll receive notifications when new training is assigned

  • Completing new assignments promptly
  • Keeping certificates organized
  • Staying engaged with compliance updates
  • Asking questions when procedures change
