Can a demonstration/onboarding session be scheduled before signing up?
Pre-sign-up demonstrations can be provided by BDMs. Onboarding sessions are post-sign-up only
Onboarding sessions are post-sign-up only. Customer Success can't conduct full onboarding calls for prospects because the sessions are structured around the customer's actual data (their Risk Assessment, their staff list, their integration needs) - without an account, there's nothing concrete to work with.
For pre-sign-up demonstrations, the BDM team runs demo sessions that walk through the platform's features without requiring sign-up. These are:
- Broader around all the key functionality in the system.
- Sales-led rather than success-led - focused on fit and value rather than configuration.
- Customisable - prospects can ask for a sector-specific walk-through (real estate, conveyancing, accounting, etc.).

Customer Success calendar typically books about a week in advance for post-sign-up onboarding, so new customers should book their first session at the time they sign rather than waiting until they've explored the platform on their own - to ensure rapid onboarding.
